The Engage database has been designed to provide specific and
relevant results based upon a variety of criteria.
We have listed below the main functions of the database
and brief details of how to use them.
Log on to Engage using the username and password
provided by GCVS. If you wish to register to
become an Engage user call Samira Adris on 0141 332 2444
or email email@example.com.
Applying selection criteria
Select specific criteria regarding geography, area
of activity, volunteer engagement etc. by ticking the
appropriate boxes then click 'Search'. Use the
'Clear' button to ensure that your next selection does
not have any previously selected criteria.
Viewing organisation details
Your search results will be listed below the search
criteria and you can view each organisation by clicking
on 'Details' on the left hand side of the results.
Editing a record
Once in an organisation's details, Engage users can
update and edit information known to be incorrect or out
of date. To do this click the 'Edit details'
button and you will be asked for your name and given the
opportunity to provide a comment. Details can then
be edited here and once completed an email is sent to
GCVS who will verify the request with the organisation
Exporting data to Excel
To export data to Excel you must have made a
geographical search. Click on the 'Export to
Excel' button and then you will be required to complete
a short form and acknowledge the conditions of use.
This will help us with ongoing development of the
database and ensure that users are using the system
